About the Program

English has fast become the most widely used language in the world of trade and commerce over the past decade or two. As a result, having an excellent knowledge of English for business has become vital for success in any employee’s career. In today’s business world, English is widely used as the major medium of communication in both small businesses and large corporate entities. Today’s competitive corporate culture demands an impressive command of spoken English with internal and external stakeholders. Be it presentations, meetings, discussions or other engagements, they are usually conducted in English.

Program objective

The main objectives of this program are to enable the participants to:

  • fine-tune their spoken skills to project a professional image
  • enhance their grammar to speak and write better
  • improve their writing skills to write better emails and reports
  • improve their pronunciation and enhance their vocabulary to express themselves better

Target Audience

Executives or non-executives who wish to improve their English. It is recommended that participants take the Placement Test prior to the program to gauge their proficiency level. They will then be placed in groups based on their proficiency level.

Training Details


Mode of training: Online


  • 32 hours (each level)
  • Our recommendation: 8 hours per session
  • Total: 4 sessions
  • Follow-up session – 4 hours (complimentary)

Certificate of completion

Upon completion of the program, participants will be awarded a certificate. Only those who have 100% attendance will be given a certificate.

Follow-up session

  • This session will be conducted 1 month after the program.
  • The objective is to check the participants’ progress and identify any challenges faced by them.
  • Relevant resources and assistance will be provided accordingly.
  • We will make recommendation to the management if any coaching session is required

Spoken Skills: 

  • Explaining procedures
  • Giving advice & making suggestions
  • Speaking in meetings (followed by a mock meeting)
  • Giving opinions (on topical issues)
  • Reading & review (review on articles of common interest)
  • Making business presentations (providing updates & sharing information)

(There will be many role plays & discussions in the spoken skills module, followed by a de-brief and feedback from the facilitator)


Business Writing Skills:


  • Commonly misused words in English
  • Using plain language in business writing
  • E-mail etiquette
  • Tone in business writing
  • Exercises on writing work-related documents (seeking information, explanation, reminders, request for updates, request to change meeting date, etc)
  • Review of emails and reports (participants will be required to bring their work-related documents for review during each session)



  • Verb tenses in business communication
  • Grammar error correction exercises
  • Subject verb agreement
  • Prepositions
  • Conjunctions
  • Modal verbs
  • Active & passive voice
