Business writing must be clear, concise and effective. These are the underlying tenets reinforced during this program. This program aims to help the participants write business emails & reports effectively.

They will gain ideas to gather information, structure their thoughts and organise their ideas to write a great emails and reports. The emphasis is on being clear, concise and persuasive.

  • Reader analysis – identifying our readers and understanding what they want.
  • Setting objective – determine the purpose of writing the document.
  • Structure – for a logical and persuasive flow of ideas to write emails & reports.
Part 2 – The Writing Process
  • Using plain language.
  • Writing exercises – participants will work in groups to organise the contents of a specific documents and present their drafts.
Part 3 – Polishing Your Writing
  • 5 Editing tips & editing exercises – for clarity, brevity and conciseness.
  • Review of documents.
Part 4- Action Plan for Improvement
  • Participants will be asked to identify action plans for further improvement.
